Superbowl Sunday! One of the many days Americans get together and celebrate tackling, running and throwing; and that’s just around the food table! I enjoyed the game this year even though I didn’t really care for either team playing. It was a good game, the halftime show was actually decent, and though the commercials were less that hilarious, I would still consider it one of the better Superbowl games I’ve seen.
The day started off nicely, showing a house to some clients. I was supposed to meet up with some friends for game day festivities, however, plans changed due to some outside circumstances. I ended up completely changing my plans for the day at about 11:30. First, my sister called and asked if I could help her strike the set of her play at 3:30. I told her that I would tentatively plan on doing that. I then got a text from my friends who wanted to borrow my truck for a little moving, but since I was supposed to help my sister at 3:30, I decided that I would just run over and help them move 1st. While moving, I decided that I could probably get a workout in before the game, so I planned on going to yoga at 4:30. I accomplished all of the above before continuing on my Superbowl Sunday. I got home after yoga and though I had been invited to a few places to watch the game, I decided to make a spread of my own at the house and watch the game there. I must admit, the wagon was a little wobbly during the Superbowl, and I almost cheated!
It was in the middle of the 3rd quarter and I was eating my dinner. There was an item in the fridge that kept calling my name. I walked back to the fridge to get some water and it was there, staring me in the face. All I could think was that I really wanted it, and after all, it was Superbowl Sunday…splurge a little! I sent a message to Brian, my nutritionist, and let him know I was thinking about cheating. Before he responded, I decided that it wasn’t worth it, and I wiped it away from my mind. I went ahead and placed an image of the culprit below. I finished the game without incident and was able to make it through a day without the queso, guac, burgers, wings, beer, and everything else that makes the Superbowl a party.

About Stephen Smith
I grew up in Georgetown, TX, just a stones throw away from Austin. I moved to Austin to attend UT and entered the real estate world as an intern in Horseshoe Bay in 2003. As I was performing different tasks around the office and for the agents, I quickly realized that I wanted to be an agent. Within a year of becoming licensed, I was managing the office, updating agents on the happenings in the real estate world and listing and selling homes! In 2006 I decided to buy a condo and move back to the great city of Austin where I was to continue working in real estate. Having worked for several top 25 companies in the area, I learned from many talented agents and decided it was time to get my Broker’s license and start my own company. As fortune may have it, I was college friends with Ed’s wife and we realized that we were very good at different parts of this business and that we complimented each other nicely. From this, a partnership was born. My goal is to bring honesty and logic to my clients during their home buying and selling process! When I am not helping a client or looking for smart, ethical agents to join our team, I enjoy serving the Austin Board of Realtors, being on the lake and networking! Most of the time, I like to combine at least 2 out of the previous 3!
