I woke up this morning and walked to the bathroom to wash my face. I have the number of days for this competition written on the mirror in dry erase marker so that I see them every day. I’m not going to lie, I was running a little slow this morning because I had so much energy after I got home last night that I decided to go to yoga again. It literally wiped me out. I got home and laid down on the floor and fell asleep. I woke up and went an showered in the middle of the night so that I could go to bed. Yes, I am pushing myself a little harder this week after my 8 lb loss last week, but I have the energy from the Healthé Trim, so why waste it?
After about a week and a half of working out and eating right, I’ve really learned that I do feel better when I wake up. It’s easier to get out of bed and get going, and I enjoy my days more. During the day, I’ll see something that I would normally eat, but I refrain because I’ve made up my mind to meet my goal of 55lbs. I’ve noticed that some people will be eating around me and they know about my personal challenge to myself in this competition. They say something like, “oh, I’m sorry for eating this in front of you,” or if they are messing with me, “man, this is really good!” The biggest thing that I can say is that it doesn’t bother me in the slightest because I’ve made this commitment to this goal, and not even a Blizzard from DQ will cause me to stumble.
I have realized that with all of this working out, combined with work, I feel like a bit of a recluse. I think that I’m going to get out and do something social this weekend for the Super Bowl!

About Stephen Smith
I grew up in Georgetown, TX, just a stones throw away from Austin. I moved to Austin to attend UT and entered the real estate world as an intern in Horseshoe Bay in 2003. As I was performing different tasks around the office and for the agents, I quickly realized that I wanted to be an agent. Within a year of becoming licensed, I was managing the office, updating agents on the happenings in the real estate world and listing and selling homes! In 2006 I decided to buy a condo and move back to the great city of Austin where I was to continue working in real estate. Having worked for several top 25 companies in the area, I learned from many talented agents and decided it was time to get my Broker’s license and start my own company. As fortune may have it, I was college friends with Ed’s wife and we realized that we were very good at different parts of this business and that we complimented each other nicely. From this, a partnership was born. My goal is to bring honesty and logic to my clients during their home buying and selling process! When I am not helping a client or looking for smart, ethical agents to join our team, I enjoy serving the Austin Board of Realtors, being on the lake and networking! Most of the time, I like to combine at least 2 out of the previous 3!
