Today was my first day for the Bobby Bones weight loss challenge. Although I weighed in at 375lbs last week, the show has me at 362lbs because the scale requires age/height information and they didn’t want to change it for any reason so that everyone would be consistent. Click here for the Audio of the Show.
Last night, I decided to splurge before this competition with a $5 shake from Alamo Draft House. I got sick to my stomach because I’m already not used to that type of high caloric intake! (though it was delicious) I woke up this morning and had 2 Silk Almond Milks and 3 small/medium bananas for breakfast. Not very well balanced, I know, but delicious!
I went to the weigh in and was actually picked to be on the radio to speak about the competition. I’ll admit, I was a little nervous and my personality didn’t come out like it should have! Oh well. After the weigh in, we were able to pose for photos with the show hosts and I decided to go “Gangsta Pose” cause I’m tough. I left the studio and went straight to the gym. I tried to get into a body pump class, but it was full, so I did about 30 min on the treadmill at a 12 degree incline and 4.0 MPH walk. I went down to the weights and that work out is below along with my food consumption for the day.
All my friends on Facebook have been super supportive and I have decided to do this blog in order for those who want to follow my progress to be able to do so. I plan to be hugely successful and want others to see what I’m doing in order to help themselves. I am currently seeking “sponsors” in order to offset some of the costs associated with the gym memberships, food, personal training sessions etc. That “sponsorship” can be in the form of financial donations or personal training sessions or whatever may help me along the way. Heck, even buying or selling a home through me is a “sponsor” type activity! I only bring this up, because there are a lot of people looking to help, and I want to make sure they get recognized or paid for their efforts because they have bills also!
And finally, I told my business partner Ed Neuhaus that if I did this competition that I would shamelessly promote the company since I know it will take up so much of my time. So, If you are looking to buy, sell, or lease a property in the Austin area, Houston area, and coming soon…the Dallas Area, please let us know and we would be happy to try to earn your business. About Stephen Smith
I grew up in Georgetown, TX, just a stones throw away from Austin. I moved to Austin to attend UT and entered the real estate world as an intern in Horseshoe Bay in 2003. As I was performing different tasks around the office and for the agents, I quickly realized that I wanted to be an agent. Within a year of becoming licensed, I was managing the office, updating agents on the happenings in the real estate world and listing and selling homes! In 2006 I decided to buy a condo and move back to the great city of Austin where I was to continue working in real estate. Having worked for several top 25 companies in the area, I learned from many talented agents and decided it was time to get my Broker’s license and start my own company. As fortune may have it, I was college friends with Ed’s wife and we realized that we were very good at different parts of this business and that we complimented each other nicely. From this, a partnership was born. My goal is to bring honesty and logic to my clients during their home buying and selling process! When I am not helping a client or looking for smart, ethical agents to join our team, I enjoy serving the Austin Board of Realtors, being on the lake and networking! Most of the time, I like to combine at least 2 out of the previous 3!
